Here we answer the most frequently asked questions about Schaufenster and Kiosk.

1. Schaufenster

Who can submit projects?
All HfG members can submit their projects, provided they have been documented in the project archive.

How can I submit a project?
Follow the instructions for submitting projects.

Who reviews the submissions?

How long does it take for my submitted project to appear on Schaufenster?

Why is my project at the bottom / not displayed?
Projects appear on Schaufenster in chronological order. Check that you have entered the semester (in which your project was completed).

What content from my documentation will be displayed on Schaufenster?
Schaufenster presents the media that you have created in your project and approved for Schaufenster: images, videos, audio, and PDFs. In addition, all metadata summarized in the project archive under the “Schaufenster” tab will be displayed.

Why should I submit more comprehensive documentation?
Your project is not only visible on Schaufenster, but also in the project archive, where you have the option of providing more metadata than is displayed on Schaufenster. Metadata describes your project and links it to others (via filters). Especially in the project archive, where significantly more data is stored, the more detailed the description, the easier it is to find.

I would like to publish a long description text on Schaufenster. What can I do?
Your project should be easy to understand on Schaufenster. Therefore, make sure to keep the project description short and concise. Nevertheless, a detailed description text can be useful if you want to provide more context for your project. There is a special field for this in the project archive. For Schaufenster, you can make a long description available in the form of a PDF. To do this, create a PDF for your text and add it to your project in the project archive as a media entry before submitting it to Schaufenster. The PDF with your text will then be displayed on Schaufenster alongside the other media entries for your project.

How do I select the cover image for my project on Schaufenster?
The cover image of your project displayed on Schaufenster is the cover image of your project set in the project archive. If you have not selected a cover image, the first media entry in the project set will be displayed. The exact procedure is shown in the instructions.

How can I determine the order in which my media is displayed on Schaufenster?
Schaufenster adopts the order of the media from the project archive. There you can position the individual media entries individually.
